Kate and William make 'deliberate move' to turn spotlight on George, Charlotte & Louis

Royal commentator Katie Nicholl believes Kate and Prince William have made the "deliberate" choice to put the spotlight on their children more over the past few months than the public have been used to. This move, the royal author suggested, comes after their children - and Prince George and Princess Charlotte in particular - have been introduced to what their future lives could look like as full-time working members of the Royal Family.

She told OK! magazine: "In the last year or so we've seen Charlotte and her siblings emerge more onto the public stage - a deliberate move by William and Kate, who initially protected them from the spotlight but are becoming more relaxed now.

"Even back in 2016, when they took George and Charlotte on the official royal tour of Canada, they were giving them both an early introduction to what their parents do, and what their lives may one day look like."

Prince George and Princess Charlotte have already gained some experience at royal work as they took part in royal visits, tours and engagements despite their young age.

The seven-year-old and future King, Prince George, took part in the Cambridges' tour to Australia and New Zealand when he was only nine months old.
